We hope that you had a wonderful Thanksgiving and that the outpouring of gratitude continues and exponentially increases. Why? Because gratitude unlocks abundance!
… on that day, all the fountains of the great deep were broken up, and the windows of heaven were opened.
-Genesis 7:11
The fountains of the deep represent the hearts of mankind. As hard-heartedness is broken up and gratitude, worship and thanksgiving gush forth, the heavens respond in a torrent of Divine blessing.
For to everyone who has, more will be given, and he will have abundance; but from him who does not have, even what he has will be taken away.
-Matthew 25: 29
The ones who “have” are the ones who focus on what God has given—even if it is little, even if it is in seed form. Those who “do not have” are those who are focused on their lack (ingratitude).
Gratitude forces the focus to shift on what one has rather than what one does not have. And what is focused upon multiplies!
So, pause for a moment and think of some creative ways to sprinkle tiny moments of gratitude throughout your day, every day. You could set an alarm each morning or put a note by your bed to see each night. Or you could really think about what you’re doing when you thank Him for the food you eat. You could make it fun and could even include your family or co-workers. And if you do get some gratitude momentum going with others at home or work, I guarantee you’ll feel a shift in the atmosphere. Not only is He is worthy of our “thank you,” but in pouring it out, you’ll keep that cycle of blessing flowing and ever-increasing.
