The Throne of Grace is an actual place you can go to find mercy when you have sinned and grace (Divine empowerment) in times of weakness or temptation. When we sin or fail, we tend to feel ashamed, pulling away from the presence of God like Adam and Eve did in the garden. But because of the finished work of Christ on the cross, the price for all our sins has already been paid, and when the Father looks at us, He sees us clothed in the righteousness of His Son. So, because of the blood, we no longer have to shrink back in shame or fear of wrath and punishment. Rather, we run boldly to the Throne of Grace, where we appropriate the blood of Yeshua to our sin.
For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin. Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.
-Hebrews 4:15-16
The Throne Room is an actual place in heaven. It is the place where God reveals the fullness of His majesty and glory. As born again spirit beings, we have free access to behold His beauty and to join all of heaven in worshipping the One who is worthy!
Immediately I was in the Spirit; and behold, a throne set in heaven, and One sat on the throne. And He who sat there was like a jasper and a sardius stone in appearance; and there was a rainbow around the throne, in appearance like an emerald. Around the throne were twenty-four thrones, and on the thrones I saw twenty-four elders sitting, clothed in white robes; and they had crowns of gold on their heads. And from the throne proceeded lightnings, thunderings, and voices. Seven lamps of fire were burning before the throne, which are the seven Spirits of God. Before the throne there was a sea of glass, like crystal. And in the midst of the throne, and around the throne, were four living creatures full of eyes in front and in back. The first living creature was like a lion, the second living creature like a calf, the third living creature had a face like a man, and the fourth living creature was like a flying eagle. The four living creatures, each having six wings, were full of eyes around and within. And they do not rest day or night, saying: “Holy, holy, holy, Lord God Almighty, Who was and is and is to come!”
